I’m glad that I decided to pull back on the daily cadence of these posts. Without the pressure of getting a post published every morning, I’m able to spend more time on things like exercise, planning the day, and getting to work sooner.
Progress is happening, slowly but surely. I had a meeting with a potential freelancing client on Monday who seemed very interested in having me on board. I don’t plan on pursuing freelancing as a full-time thing, but it’s an unfamiliar environment that I think I’ll learn a lot from. In just the past few days, I’ve already learned so much. How to learn about a customer’s pain points, how to write a project proposal, and the most confusing one, how to price my services. I learned how self-employed individuals are taxed and what things qualify as a deductible business expense (like company retreats?!).
My mood is also a bit better these days compared to when I first started. The doubts and uncertainty are still ever-present. Maybe I’ve just learned how to live with them? Or have I just become a bit delusional? I can’t quite tell yet, but the result is still the same. I just hope the trend continues up (which I highly suspect it wont).
Till next time, thanks for reading.
