Day 44: Birds-eye view
My travels are now over, and it’s time to get back to work. I thoroughly enjoyed the break from my day to day work as it allowed me to spend time with family and reconnect with friends. Most importantly, it’s allowed me to take a birds-eye view of where I’m headed next without being bogged down by day-to-day pressures.
On some days, writing these posts has felt more like a chore than a productive use of time. I’ll spend too much time deliberating, only to end up with a low effort post after giving up. Instead, I’d like to keep the quality of these posts up, which means the quantity might decrease a bit. I hope this will give me back some crucial time during the day and make reading my work more rewarding.
Tomorrow (or technically in just a few hours as I’m writing this), I’ve got a meeting with a prospective client for freelance work. I don’t plan on becoming a full-time freelancer, but I figured it would be a great way to meet a small business, learn how to understand their problems, and deliver a solution to them. My goal is to find a problem that could scale to many businesses beyond just this client. I’ll update you on how that progresses.
Finally, I’d like to wrap up my modular synth project and begin promoting it publicly. Before spending too much more time on the project, I want to make sure that it’s something people would use and pay for. I’ve set a deadline for myself of this Friday (July 19) to post the project on Reddit.
Thank you for reading, and you should expect more updates this week now that my break is over.
