Day 27: Why write?
Day 27 didn’t have much progress in terms of my work. I mainly spent it doing general life tasks, hanging out with friends, and not much more. So today, I’d like to spend some time thinking about why I write.
Writing is a way for me to clarify my thoughts. Many of the worlds greatest thinkers tend to also write—be it publicly through literature or privately in their own diaries. It is beneficial not only as you formulate each sentence, but also when you’re revisiting what you wrote and fortifying those thoughts with every read.
Due to the frequency of these posts, I don’t have the time to edit them, which means what you read here is very stream-of-consciousness writing. Prior to this daily practice, I would at least re-read and edit my writing at least once before publishing it to the world. Sure, they may sound more polished to a reader, but there’s something mentally liberating about not hitting Backspace on your raw ideas.
